Although the police have said “case closed” after actor Alan Ritchson declined to press charges against his neighbor following a physical fight, that neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, won’t let it go.

Taylor is airing out his grievances to anyone who will listen, telling TMZ that he has received over 100 death threats after the video of the neighborhood fight went viral. According to him, the texts said things like “Die, die, die,” and another read, “I hope your wife divorces you and your kids never speak to you again and you die a horrible death.”

Taylor said police told him he can file a formal complaint if the messages continue to concern him. But Taylor says at this time he’s just chalking it up to empty threats from trolls. He also told the outlet that he dropped the charges because he wasn’t interested in taking the matter to court.

According to Taylor, “I was only interested in the safety of my neighborhood because [Ritchson] was racing through the neighborhood. He’s a Hollywood superstar and I’m not. He’s got lawyers. I didn’t even lawyer up. Police told me standing in front of him and his bike was enough for the claim of self-defense. I never took a swing at the guy. I pushed him — that’s all I did. I think that also had something to do with the self-defense.”

Part of the video from the altercation on March 22 showed the Reacher star kicking Taylor while he was on the ground. However, another video later revealed what led up to that, with Taylor jumping in front of Ritchson’s motorcycle, yelling, and acting aggressively.

Brentwood, Tennessee, police then released a statement that read, “Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges. The case is now closed.”
