Real or Fake? Family Approves of Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson’s Relationship

People can’t stop talking about Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson‘s possible romantic relationship amid their appearances together promoting their new movie, The Naked Gun.

While multiple outlets cite sources who claim the two are currently dating, not everyone is convinced. Some believe that the co-stars are faking their chemistry to drum up more interest and publicity for their new film.

Psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman is one of those skeptics and pointed to their behavior during a recent appearance and on the Today Show as a sign of that. Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Honigman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Their Today Show live on-air smooch has got tongues wagging, which it was designed to do. The ‘are they aren’t they’ conversation has dominated the film’s promotional run, and their Today Show appearance featured an ‘accidental on purpose’ kiss between the two actors. That kiss was described as ‘passionate’ by the media, but it was anything but.

“It was a fun TV gag during which we see their lips lock for a short second, and then they feign shock at being caught, with exaggerated, comical expressions. Pamela’s raised eyebrows and ‘O’-shaped mouth convey surprise, but in a cartoonish way, she’s playing up for the audiences. Liam gives a typically intense performance of shock, narrowing his eyes, glancing from side to side, and thinning his lips to convey stress. Their expressions are so over-the-top, showing that they want the viewers to be in on the joke. It is a slapstick canoodle to help promote a slapstick movie.”

Even if their budding relationship is fake, Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, whose known Anderson for several years, let the Baywatch actress know that all her friends are for this relationship, and so is Neeson’s son Daniel. While interviewing his father and Anderson, Cohen turned to Daniel for the stamp of approval, to which he replied “Yes!” with a smile.
