Dolores Catania Seen Filming: Switches up Her ‘Real Housewives’ Affiliation
Bravo is reportedly working on casting for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, despite initial fears that the series might be canceled. One star, however, isn’t waiting around to see what becomes of the iconic iteration. She has an opportunity elsewhere. Dolores Catania has been spotted filming, but it’s not with the ladies of New Jersey. Instead, Dolores Catania has reportedly been seen with the cast of Bravo’s upcoming series, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

While Bravo has yet to formally introduce the cast or announce a premiere date for The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, it is already hard at work on the show. At the very least, Bravo cameras have been spotted around Rhode Island, filming some of the state’s wealthiest ladies. While the cast all appear to hail from Rhode Island, one non-native seems to be rubbing elbows with the crew.
Earlier this week, a video began circulating on social media that showed Dolores Catania chatting with a woman during a party. A cameraman, clearly visible in the shot, is capturing the entire scene. Fans were quick to point out that the whole scene screams of reality TV. The backdrop is a giveaway, too. They appear to be filming in coastal Rhode Island. They feel certain Catania, who was often a voice of reason on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, has taken her peacemaker capabilities to the Ocean State. Catania doesn’t own property in the state, despite rumors.

Dolores Catania’s involvement with The Real Housewives of Rhode Island shouldn’t come as too much of a shock. Catania made it more than clear that she’d be open to appearing, although she shut down rumors that she would “star” in the new installment.
During a June appearance on Jeff Lewis Live, Catania said that she was not starring on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, but she would be open to appearing. She was pressed further about her involvement, but she didn’t give away too much information. She revealed she has ties to the cast, making it easier for her to pop up in a cameo capacity. Some fans think she might appear as a guest.
Catania may not have a brand-new housewives’ home. Still, her involvement in the new installment bodes well for her future with the network. A final decision on The Real Housewives of New Jersey has not yet been made. The fact that Bravo is willing to work with Catania on another project suggests she’s on the network’s good side, though. Whether that will translate to her return to the RHONJ cast remains to be seen.
