‘The Bachelorette’ Star Jenn Tran Celebrates her ‘Un-Engagement’ Anniversary
Bachelor Nation is settling in for what should be a complicated season of The Golden Bachelor after riding the twists and turns of Bachelor in Paradise. While all eyes are focused on the future, one Bachelor Nation alum is looking at the past, and she’s happy things turned out the way they did. Jenn Tran took to Instagram on September 23 to celebrate her “un-enagement” anniversary. It has been over a year since her disastrous The Bachelorette appearance, and what a difference a year can make.
Jenn Tran celebrates a year without Devin Strader
Jenn Tran has reason to celebrate this month. The former lead of The Bachelorette has turned heartbreak into triumph. She took to Instagram to celebrate her “un-engagement.” It has been a year since her engagement to Devin Strader ended in a dramatic yet necessary fashion. Tran noted that she loved the chance to meet the woman she had become. She said that a lot of great things wouldn’t have happened if she had remained engaged to Strader. She is celebrating missing out on a lifetime of red flags.
Devin Strader and Jenn Tran got engaged during the finale of her season of The Bachelorette, but Tran said things unraveled from there. Strader was uncommunicative and wasn’t interested in working on the relationship before he called it quits. The former duo had an uncomfortable meeting on stage, which led to backlash. Strader made himself an even bigger villain by posting private texts from Tran to social media before he finally slunk back into obscurity. It’s unclear where he has been since then, but we know where Tran has been.
What has she done in the year since then?
While Jenn Tran was, understandably, heartbroken as she sat on stage during After the Final Rose, she rebounded swiftly and brilliantly. Following the end of the season, the world largely canceled Strader, whose abusive past had become a major talking point; Bachelor Nation, on the other hand, embraced Tran. She moved on from the show and quickly joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars, with the competition premiering just weeks after her split from Strader.
Tran and her partner, Sasha Farber, finished seventh in the competition, but found something better than a mirrorball trophy. The dance partners became romantic partners, going Instagram official in December 2024, sharing cute photos together for several months. They split in June, but things appear to be amicable; however, neither has spoken about the breakup in detail. Tran returned to Miami to continue her Physician’s Assistant program in April. It seems likely that the distance led to the breakup.
While Tran is focused on school, she’s also been a bit busy this month teasing fans on Instagram. She hinted at a potential love connection in her stories recently, but didn’t reveal her date’s face. Fans are intrigued.
