Jay Cutler’s ex-wife, Kristin Cavallari, is making headlines after it was revealed that she went on a date with another former athlete and current head coach.

The Laguna Beach star was married to former Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos quarterback from 2013 to 2022. Following their split, Cavallari has not sworn off other sports stars.

In April 2025, the Uncommon James founder revealed she was seeing retired NHL player Nate Thompson. He commented after their fling ended, saying, “I have nothing bad to say about Kristin. She’s a really, really good person and great mom, and yeah, it was fun.”

Now, reports are surfacing that Cavallari went out with another former athlete who is also a head coach in the NBA. That man is former college basketball player and current Utah Jazz coach, Will Hardy.

But if fans are hoping for a love connection between the two, sources say it’s not happening. That’s because insiders claim that they only went out one time, and it was months ago.

“It was one date and that was it,” Us Weekly’s source said. “She never saw him again.”

Cavallari did speak about going on their date on an episode of her podcast last month.

“He is represented by CAA. So am I. Our two agents made it happen,” she shared. “He flew to Nashville, took me to dinner, such a great guy. I know after the first date if I’m going to like someone or not … When I’m out of alignment for what is meant for me, everything in my body screams at me. He is such a good guy. I enjoyed talking to him … It just wasn’t right.”
