‘RHOBH’ Fans Slam Lisa Rinna’s Comments About Sutton Stracke’s Body as ‘Disgusting’
In her new memoir, Lisa Rinna proved that her feud with Sutton Stracke is still alive and well. While discussing her on-screen fashion, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took a moment to criticize Stracke’s style. She also made comments about her body. Fans of the show say that Rinna went too far with her remarks.
Lisa Rinna insulted Sutton Stracke’s appearance in her new memoir
In her new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Rinna admitted to spending a fortune on clothes while on RHOBH. She doesn’t regret it, though, because she thinks she looked good on-screen.
“Overall, I give myself an A minus for my fashion choices on the show,” she wrote. “I can’t really think of one thing that was superbad where I cringe and go, ‘Oh my God, that was hideous!’ I can’t say the same for some of my cohorts.”
She used Stracke as her example, describing her as “living proof that money can’t buy you taste.”
“I’m happy to drag Sutton,” she wrote. “She’s frumpy, there’s no sex appeal about her whatsoever, and she’s got a weird body. So God bless her.”
Fans have criticized Lisa Rinna for her writing about Sutton Stracke
While fans know that Rinna and Stracke aren’t on great terms, her comments have shocked people.
“Woooooooooow is all the book like this??” asked one Reddit user. “Sutton is not my cup of tea but that’s just MEAN.”
“Wow that’s a disgusting way to speak about another woman,” added another person.
Some people felt it was unfair to talk about Stracke in a medium that didn’t allow her to defend herself.
“This isnt dragging anyone. This is just being an unmitigated b**** in a forum where the target can’t speak back.”
Others noted that this lost Rinna any goodwill she’d gained since leaving the reality series.
“Damn I was just warming up to her a bit after The Traitors. This is just mean,” wrote one person. “Even if she had just made jokes about her fashion sense it wouldn’t be that bad but the body shaming is especially cruel, and saying she has no sex appeal seems unnecessary as well.”
Even people who consider themselves fans of Rinna didn’t defend her.
“Oof I like Rinna but this is really nasty,” one person wrote. “Especially commenting on Sutton’s body like what? Not her first time being nasty but damn.”
She said she has no regrets about their feud
Rinna said she has few regrets about her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She certainly does not feel bad about the way she treated Stracke.
“Everyone always asks me if I have regrets about my behavior, especially during my last season,” she wrote. “I do not regret lashing out at Sutton, or regret handling the Kathy [Hilton] of it all. I do not regret a minute of it. I was doing the best I could on a reality show a couple days after my mom died, and now that I look back on it, I say shame on them for the way they handled me.”
When Rinna left the show, Stracke said she would miss her.
