‘RHOC’: Emily Simpson’s Son Is ‘in Crisis’ After ‘Rare Medical’ Diagnosis
In the first look of the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC), cast member Emily Simpson revealed that her son, Luke, is facing a health issue. Simpson tearily spoke about the way her son’s health is impacting her family. She described this as the biggest challenge of her life.

Simpson, an attorney and mother of three, has been on RHOC since Season 13. She has three children, a daughter, Annabelle, and twin sons, Luke and Keller.
“Being a boy mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me. There is no love like the love between a mother and her sons,” she wrote in a birthday post for her sons (per Bravo). “Thank you for being my best friends, my sweet angels and the loves of my life.”
On the upcoming season of RHOC, fans will watch Simpson as she navigates Luke’s recent health crisis.
“Luke, he’s sad, and it breaks my heart,” she told her husband, Shane Simpson, in the Season 19 trailer, adding, “I have a son that’s in crisis, and I feel alone in that.”
While the trailer did not provide any further information about Luke’s diagnosis, Simpson’s Bravo bio notes that this season, she will take on “one of the biggest challenges of her life when one of her sons is diagnosed with a rare medical condition.”
She hinted that this could impact her marriage
Navigating Luke’s diagnosis has seemingly put strain on Simpson’s marriage. In the trailer, she tearfully notes, “We’re gonna end up divorced.”
Despite this, Simpson recently stated that she has no plans to end her marriage of 16 years. In March, she shared an Instagram post listing reasons why she’d never leave Shane.
“Three reasons I’d never leave my husband: 1. I’d be doing him a favor; and I don’t do favors,” she wrote, per Bravo. “2. He’d have a lot more money without me so I need to keep him motivated. 3. His life would be too peaceful and calm. Living with me teaches him how to handle chaos and insanity.”
She also recently celebrated her husband’s 50th birthday at Disneyland. She referred to him as “the most interesting man in the world” in the caption of her Instagram post.
Emily Simpson said the upcoming season of ‘RHOC’ is the best yet
Though the nineteenth season of RHOC will follow Simpson through a challenging period, she said fans have a lot to look forward to.
“Honestly, I will tell you, I think this will be the best season of Orange County to date,” she told E! News. “It will be. Because last season was amazing, everyone loved it, it was well received … Clearly we have a great cast. We have the dynamics and the relationships. We have real friendships.”
She said every episode will have something exciting for fans.
“Every episode, it’s going to be something different,” she said. “There’s going to be fun, there’s going to be friendships shifting, there’s going to be things revealed that you didn’t even know or were anticipating. So it’s going to be amazing.”
Season 19 of RHOC will premiere on July 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
