Beador has been on probation since late 2023 for a DUI hit-and-run that happened that September. Here are the details on the reality star’s latest encounter with law enforcement.

Police pulled over ‘RHOC’ star Shannon Beador 2 years after her DUI arrest

On May 21, 2025, police officers in Orange County, California, pulled over Beador for driving “while operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communication device” (per Us Weekly). In other words, she was using her phone while driving. Beador was cited and then released.

Beador has until Friday, July 11, to pay the fine. It is $20 for the first offense and $50 for each additional offense. The first offense will not add points to her record.

Shannon Beador has been on probation for a DUI since 2023

Beador is currently on probation for a DUI hit-and-run in 2023. While driving, Beador hit a Newport Beach apartment complex and visibly damaged the building. She then drove away from the scene.

“We heard loud screeching and a loud noise,” a neighbor told ABC News. “We looked out the window and there was a car driving away after running into the house.”

They added that they saw oil spilling out from underneath the vehicle as it drove away. Newport police officers arrested Beador shortly afterward and found her blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.

“She is extremely apologetic and remorseful,” her attorney, Mike Fell, said in a statement. “We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”

Beador pleaded no contest to misdemeanor DUI charges, and a judge dropped the hit-and-run charges because she paid full restitution to the homeowner.

“As we first reported she would, Shannon took full responsibility for her actions and accepted the judge’s sentence of 40 hours of community service, 9 months of alcohol classes and the standard three years of unsupervised/informal probation,” Fell wrote.

She recently teased the latest season of ‘RHOC’

Beador is gearing up for the latest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County to begin.

“So the next season of RHOC is — it’s drama-filled, with drama that [it’s like], ‘Where did that drama come from?'” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “It’s just very surprising, and I think it’s a very unique season.”

She believes it will show a better side to her than the last season did. Season 18 dealt with her legal and financial issues.

“It’s my 11th season on the show, and it’s just very, very different,” she said. “But it’s good! And for me, it can only get better than my last season, so I feel as though I’m silly a lot this season. Which, like, that’s fun for me. I like to be silly.”

Season 19 of RHOC premieres on Thursday, July 10.
