The partygoers claimed he was dressed inappropriately and had acted inappropriately throughout the night before an exposive fight with his father drove all three Reiners out of the party early. A missed massage appointment was the first sign of trouble

According to Page Six, the Reiners had a massage appointment on the books for Sunday afternoon. When a massage therapist received no answer at the front gate, they reportedly contacted Romy Reiner. She headed to the home to see what was going on. The outlet, speaking to an insider, claims Romy entered the home, while a friend waited outside, and found her father slain. The friend apparently alerted authorities, who later found Michele Singer Reiner dead inside the home, too.
They had plans with the Obamas
The couple may have planned a relaxing massage therapy appointment to destress from the hectic holiday season. Still, it sounds like they were up for more festivities. At the very least, the pair had plans for Sunday evening. Michelle Obama revealed that she and Barack Obama had dinner plans with the Reiners for Sunday, December 14. They were set to meet them just a few hours after their bodies were discovered.
Michelle Obama chatted about the Reiners during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on December 15. She called them “courageous” and noted they had been friends for years. Visibly shaken, she opened up about the loss. Still, she did not delve into the cause of death or who was suspected of being involved. She did not reveal why they planned to meet for dinner or whether they were celebrating a special occasion.
