Royal Author Claims Prince Harry Is ‘Petrified’ of Meghan But Also So Scared of ‘Losing Her’
Following a U.K. court ruling dismissing Prince Harry‘s appeal to have his security in the U.K. reinstated, the Duke of Sussex gave an interview from near his home in California.
After losing his court battle, the former working royal sat down with the BBC and claimed that he wants to reconcile with his family but his father “won’t speak” to him “because of this security stuff.” The prince also pushed some of the blame for his security situation on King Charles, telling the news outlet: “I can only come to the U.K. safely if I’m invited. There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands. Ultimately this whole thing could be resolved through him, not necessarily by intervening but by stepping aside and letting the experts do what is necessary.”
The prince is now saying that he doesn’t think he can return to the U.K. with his family. But some commentators believe his wife, Meghan, never wanted to return to Britain anyway and in the U.S. Harry is “petrified of her” and “petrified of losing her.”
Biographer says Prince Harry can’t tell where Meghan’s ventures are leading
A royal biographer is claiming that without his family or many friends in the U.S., Harry’s only focus is Meghan while hers is “latching onto” as many different things as she can to see what works.
“There are other people who are much better people at telling you these things, there are other people who are better at doing cookery programs, there are other people who are better at advising how to fund a business,” author Hugo Vickers told The Sun. “They’re sort of latching on to things, well she is in particular, and it’s hard to see where it’s going. I hate to say it but my feeling at the end of the day is that Prince Harry is petrified of her and petrified of losing her.”
Royal editor Matt Wilkinson agreed adding, “There was an article in the United States that said she’s just awful but he’s an enabler. It’s almost like he’s aware but can’t actually get out of it all.”
Source says Netflix bosses now regret the decision to ‘invest so heavily’ in the Sussexes
The Express reported that Netflix, which has a multi-million contract with the couple for the content they produce, is no longer happy with them after Prince Harry’s Polo docuseries completely flopped and Meghan’s lifestyle show fell below expectations on the streaming platform.
The insider said: “It doesn’t matter how much Netflix try and spin this, With Love, Meghan has not been a success either critically or commercially. It’s been savaged by critics the world over, sure there have been a few lukewarm reviews of the series, but in general it’s been poorly received.
“Meghan and the Netflix PR machine tried to gloss over the failure by having the duchess post on social media that the show had broken into the Top 10 rankings, but it just as quickly dropped out again. Even the SAG Awards, which aired in February, is still in the Top 10 Global list and has been pretty consistently while Meghan’s show is nowhere to be seen.”
