Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have relocated to the U.K. after spending more than six years in the U.S. Although the move has brought the Duke and Duchess of Sussex geographically closer to the Prince and Princess of Wales, their relationship remains strained. Now, a report claims that Harry is considering asking Kate Middleton to help him repair his fractured relationship with Prince William.

Harry, Middleton, and William once shared a tight-knit bond. The three were often spotted stepping out to fulfill their royal duties and having a good time. However, their bond was heavily strained when the Sussexes openly slammed the rest of the family in public. They also targeted the Waleses in particular, explaining what went wrong in the royal family after his wedding with Markle. 

Harry reconciled with his father, King Charles, and stepmother Queen Camilla earlier this year. However, William maintained his distance from his brother and his family. According to Star, an insider revealed that the 42-year-old Prince appears to be desperate to reconcile with his estranged brother. 

The insider revealed that he may reach out to Middleton for her help. “If anyone can get William to soften, it’s Kate, and Harry has been saying he’s ready to beg her for help,” the source revealed. Nevertheless, the first difficult step for Harry would be convincing Middleton. The Princess may no longer be interested in listening to Harry’s plea. 

The insider pointed out that her attitude toward the Megxit and everything that followed has drastically changed. “There was a time that she was very openly trying to pave the way for a reconciliation,” the insider said. Ever since Harry and Markle returned to the U.K., their behavior allegedly rubbed Middleton the wrong way. 

“The fact that they didn’t discuss their plans to move back or give anyone warning, not even the king, really upset her [Kate],” the insider claimed. Middleton did not appreciate the Sussexes’ sudden move and believes it was “so disrespectful.” Moreover, their “royal style meet and greet” in Nottingham further created friction with the family. 

Ever since Harry and Markle returned to the U.K., they have made three public appearances in the city. At one point, the Duchess was also heard telling a citizen that she felt “great to be back.”

Where do the Waleses stand in such a situation? They are reportedly holding back their reaction. According to People, an insider revealed that William and Middleton are navigating the Sussexes’ every move and resisting a “knee-jerk reaction.” “They are watching this space. It’s private — they don’t feel the need to say anything or demonstrate anything outwardly,” the insider claimed. 

It was previously noted that Harry’s return to the homeland brought him a great opportunity to repair his bond with his family. When it comes to reconciliation with his brother, the source said that it will be a “slow build.” They also noted that “there is a deep sense of betrayal.”

A source previously told the publication that Charles would want to see his two sons together. When would it happen? No one can tell. The two brothers, who once shared a close bond, have now gone for years without talking to one another.
