The Royal Who Sarah Ferguson Feels Betrayed by the Most Isn’t Andrew
It took years for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, to be accepted back into the royal fold after their divorce. But Fergie eventually moved into the 30-room Royal Lodge estate with her ex-husband and began making appearances with her former in-laws.
However, her and Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein and their repeated contact with the convicted sex offender over the years cost them both their titles and got them evicted from their Windsor home.
Andrew was banished to Sandringham to reside at a more modest property there, while Sarah was told to find her own living accommodations.
Andrew is currently living in exile, and Sarah hasn’t been seen in public for months. Now, an insider is sharing which royal the former Duchess of York “feels betrayed” by more than anyone else
A royal source told Heat, “Fergie’s very bitter, she’s angry, and feels wronged by everyone in the family. She doesn’t have the guts to confront anyone but when she’s had a couple of drinks, that’s when the liquid courage kicks in and when she starts unloading …[Queen] Camilla’s been getting the brunt of Sarah’s fury. They were very close friends for years, so Sarah feels incredibly betrayed.”
Another insider said, “What people don’t see is just how low [Sarah] sunk, every time she opens a paper or goes online, it’s another reminder that she’s completely on the outside and there’s no real way back, and she’s really struggling to come to terms with that.”
Sarah has kept a low-profile since the last batch of Epstein files were released in January. Her current whereabouts are unknown, but she was previously staying at a remote Irish wellness retreat called the Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa in Donegal.
