Sarah Ferguson Not Moving in With Andrew Following Eviction; Here’s Where She’ll Relocate
Moving vans recently spotted outside the Royal Lodge home where Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have been residing for years prove that their time there is about to come to an end.
In October, Andrew relinquished his Duke of York title, which also meant that his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, could no longer use her Duchess of York title. Two weeks later, King Charles stepped in and stripped his brother of his prince title and ordered that both Andrew and Sarah vacate Royal Lodge.
Buckingham Palace’s statement read in part: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor … [Andrew’s] lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”
Andrew and Sarah will reportedly be moved out of Royal Lodge later this month. It’s thought that Andrew’s new home will be Marsh Farm, which is seven miles away from the king’s Sandringham House in Norfolk. But Sarah will not be joining her former husband at his new residence.
A source told Hello!: “Andrew and Sarah have to move out by Jan. 25. She has stood by him all these years but is now ready to spread her wings.”
That source added that Fergie is likely to move out of the U.K. temporarily until she decides where she wants to put down roots, saying, “She won’t be moving in with [Andrew] to the new house on the Sandringham Estate. She won’t be moving into [Princess] Beatrice’s Cotswolds home. [Princess] Eugenie’s home in Portugal is a contender while she finds somewhere.”
