According to TMZ, the couple, who announced their engagement in 2024, split after months of mounting tension. The breakup occurred during their joint bachelor and bachelorette party. The outlet alleges that Ramos was the one who officially called off the relationship while they were vacationing with friends in the Bahamas. A massive argument reportedly preceded the split, though the cause of that fight has not been made public.

Ramos and Prescott were first spotted together in 2023, when Ramos made her debut at a Dallas Cowboys game. The relationship moved pretty quickly, with the pair announcing their first pregnancy in late 2023. Their daughter was born in early 2024. In October 2024, they announced their engagement. Prscott and Ramos were expecting their second child together at the time. Their second daughter, Aurora, was born in May 2025. Prescott and Ramos were set to wed in Italy in April.

They aren’t the first famous couple to call it quits right before the nuptials

While Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos are the latest couple to end their engagement just before walking down the aisle, they are far from the first. Several famous couples have called it quits just before tying the knot.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are perhaps the most famous couple to call off their wedding right before it happened. The famous duo were set to wed in 2003, but called off the wedding days before it was to take place. At the time, they cited intense media pressure for the change of plans, but insisted they were still planning to marry. They broke up a few months later, though they reconnected in 2022. That romance ended in divorce.

Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland called off their engagement just a few days before they were set to tie the knot, too. The year was 1991, and the pair had been together for about a year. Rumors swirled that they had both been cheating on each other in the lead-up to the wedding, though those facts have been disputed.
