Scheana Shay Wanted Eddie Cibrian ‘to Burn’ for His Relationship with LeAnn Rimes

Scheana Shay and actor Eddie Cibrian had an affair while he was married to Brandi Glanville. Shay said she grew close to Cibrian and thought of him as the type of man she’d like to marry. Cibrian, however, didn’t seem to take the relationship as seriously. While he and Shay were involved, Cibrian was also with his now-wife, LeAnn Rimes. Shay said that when she realized this, she sought revenge.

Shay said she and Cibrian stopped seeing each other after she learned about his marriage. Eventually, though, they reconnected. While on a snowboarding trip, Shay saw a call come in from Rimes on his phone. He assured her that Rimes was just a friend, but just a month later, news of their relationship broke. 

Shay was furious. In her recent memoir My Good Side, she admitted she wanted “revenge” on her paramour, so her friend stepped in for her. They contacted a tabloid and claimed Cibrian had been at Shay’s apartment on the night the news of his affair with Rimes broke. While Shay said this wasn’t true, she was glad the information was out there.

“Even though that detail wasn’t true, I didn’t care,” she wrote, per People. “I wanted him to burn.”

She has not seen or spoken to Cibrian since their affair ended. Despite this, she is on friendlier terms with Rimes and Glanville.

“LeAnn and I have talked on social media,” she told Us Weekly. “Brandi and I stay in touch. But Eddie, I have had zero contact and zero run-ins with in 17 years. How insane is that?”
