Scooter Braun and Sydney Sweeney are reportedly dating. The pair met at the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez back in June and have been seeing each other ever since.
Sources have claimed that things between them have gotten more serious just recently, telling Us Weekly, “They are dating and it has become more serious. Still not putting a label on it, but Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter. It’s not a casual relationship. It’s game on—it’s full throttle. They are together.”
But Braun initially had some reservations about their relationship, and that’s because of Sweeney’s age.

How much older is Braun than Sweeney?
Sweeney was born on Sept. 12, 1997, in Spokane, Washington, but was raised in Idaho.
Sweeney started auditioning for commercial acting jobs in the Seattle-Portland area before moving to Los Angeles. She began her acting career in 2009 with a small part in an episode of the TV series Heroes. She also had minor roles on shows such as 90210, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, and Pretty Little Liars. In 2018, she starred as Emaline Addario in Netflix’s Everything Sucks! and has a recurring role on The Handmaid’s Tale. Her big break came in 2019 when she began portraying Cassie Howard on the HBO drama series Euphoria.
Scott Samuel “Scooter” Braun was born in New York City on June 18, 1981, making him 16 years and two months older than Sweeney.
In 2002, Braun was hired to plan after-parties for the Anger Management Tour, featuring Ludacris and Eminem. In 2004, he organized the after-parties for Britney Spears’ Onyx Hotel Tour. He also worked as the executive director of marketing for So So Def.
Braun is widely credited with launching Justin Bieber’s career after discovering the singer’s videos on YouTube.

Being 16 years her senior is why Braun is said to have been hesitant about where things were going with Sweeney.
Sources close to the talent manager explained that even though he had reservations because of their age gap, he admired the White Lotus actress’ confidence and she was drawn to his charm, saying, “Syd was intrigued–Scooter’s a charmer. He’s confident, but also sweet and very attentive. He’s not really her type, but she enjoyed the attention.”
Another insider added that Braun has played a unique role in Sweeney’s life, offering more than just romance as “Scooter has introduced her to new perspectives, especially when it comes to business. Sydney has been soaking up the knowledge he brings from working across so many different sectors and industries. She respects his drive and ambition, which has inspired her in her own life.”
Sweeney is Braun’s first serious public relationship since the divorce from Yael Cohen was finalized in 2022.
In September, Sweeney rang in her 28th birthday with an intergalactic-themed party in Los Angeles. And one partygoer claimed that Braun did make an appearance to celebrate with her.
