Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: 1 of the Wildest Rumors About Him Can Be Traced to a 2004 Party
Though Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial ended, the rumors about him, his lifestyle, and his notorious parties have not abated. While many people have found the verdict frustrating, others have taken it as evidence of a government cover-up. Some of the most outrageous conspiracies about Combs claim he has engaged in Satanic rituals, including human sacrifice.
A photo of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at a party sparked conspiracy theories
In 2004, Combs hosted a celebrity-filled party at a private mansion. It featured a naked woman serving as a platter of sushi for guests. In photos from the night obtained by TMZ, Combs, clad in white, stands before her and addresses his guests.
After Combs’ arrest in 2024, the photos recirculated. Per The Hollywood Reporter, some fringe online groups like QAnon have taken the images of Combs in front of the woman as evidence of a ritual of human sacrifice.
“VIEWER DISCRETION: I HAVE OBTAINED PHOTOS OF SATANIC RITUALS BEING PERFORMED AT DIDDY PARTIES,” reads one post on X (formerly Twitter). “WILL BE POSTING EVERYTHING IN THE COMING DAYS.”
Serving sushi on a naked woman’s body is a well-known practice, but some have twisted it into evidence of something sinister.
“We don’t have firsthand knowledge of what happened at those parties,” said Kevin Mercuri, an expert on conspiracy theory culture. “Some people have talked about what was purportedly leaked. But there’s enough of a hole in the story, QAnon — or anybody else — can fill that hole in.”
His bodyguard claimed he sacrificed a bird
This is far from the only occult-linked conspiracy about Combs. His former bodyguard, Gene Deal, claims that he saw the mogul meet up with a man to sacrifice a bird in Central Park. He claimed Combs did this to influence the verdict in his 2001 nightclub shooting trial.
“When (Combs) got close to the guy, he just dropped down to his knees,” Deal said in the documentary The Honorable Shyne. “Next thing I see, is this smoke just going back and forth around (Combs). I guess it was sage or something like that.”
He said Combs then grabbed a bird from a nearby cage and threw it in the air.
“The bird just fell to the ground, boom, like it was a brick,” Deal said. “I was like, ‘Oh, s***!’ … The bird died, man … the bird didn’t even move. (Combs) just walked away from him real quick.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ defense team denied any wrongdoing at his white parties
While rumors about Combs’ involvement in Satanic sacrifices are outlandish, he has faced many allegations relating to his notorious parties. His defense team wholeheartedly denied that there was any truth to them.
“It’s disappointing to see the media and social commentators twist these cultural moments into something they were not,” they said in a statement about Combs’ white parties (per The New York Times). “Shaming celebrities who attended, taking video clips and photos out of context, and trying to link these events to false allegations is simply untrue.”
