Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Business Partner Claimed He ‘Orchestrated’ Tupac’s Death
For years, rumors have swirled that Sean “Diddy” Combs had some involvement in Tupac Shakur’s death. Shakur himself insinuated that Combs had something to do with his 1994 shooting. Combs’ former business partner, Kirk Burrowes, has made similar allegations. In a lawsuit, Burrowes accused Combs of orchestrating Shakur’s death.

In 1996, Shakur was driving home from a boxing match when another car pulled up alongside his vehicle. A passenger opened fire on Shakur’s car, hitting him and grazing Death Row Records founder Suge Knight. The rapper died days later.
In a civil suit, Burrowes, a co-founder of Bad Boy Records, alleged that Combs “orchestrated” the shooting (via USA Today). Burrowes claimed that Combs felt frustrated over Shakur’s success and began to plot against him.
“Combs allegedly made statements to insiders suggesting that Shakur’s presence in the industry threatened his legacy, leading him to take increasingly aggressive measures to overshadow and eliminate competition,” the suit alleges.
Burrowes also alleged that Combs rented cars and hired men to drive them from New York to Las Vegas and back.
Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who was indicted in Shakur’s murder, has also alleged that Combs paid him to kill the rapper. Combs has repeatedly denied the accusation.
