Judge Arun Subramanian is furious with lawyers on both sides of the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial. He recently took both sides to task after sealed evidence only viewed by the lawyers was leaked to tabloids. Both sides have denied leaking the information.

Judge Arun Subramanian chastised lawyers in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs case

Early in court proceedings on Tuesday, June 17, Subramanian angrily addressed tabloid reports about sealed information. Though it was not clear what information Subramanian was referring to, several sources have reported that it had to do with a juror. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the judge concluded that “one or more people in this courtroom…flagrantly violated this court’s orders.” Both Maurene Comey, the lead prosecutor, and the defense team’s Marc Agnifilo denied having anything to do with the leaked information.

“Someone is lying here,” Subramanian said.

Subramanian told Comey and Agnifilo that he would hold them responsible if he discovered that someone on their side leaked the information. He also noted that this could result in civil or criminal contempt charges.

“Ms. Comey and Mr. Agnifilo, you’re each personally responsible for the conduct of your teams and your clients,” Subramanian said. “There’s no passing the buck anymore. The buck stops with you. If anything happens, then lead counsel is responsible.”

Subramanian also reminded jurors that the case needed to be tried “on the facts and evidence alone.”

“I will make sure that this commitment is honored, and I will swiftly investigate and punish any violations that took place,” he said.
