Why Did Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Nearly Get Kicked Out of the Courtroom?
On June 5, Judge Arun Subramanian threatened to kick Sean “Diddy” Combs out of the courtroom. After Combs appeared to interact with members of the jury, Subramanian warned Combs’ defense team that he would eject the disgraced mogul from the courtroom. Here’s what Subramanian said he saw Combs do.

On Thursday, Bryana Bongolan, Cassie Ventura’s friend, testified. The defense cross-examined her about her claims that Combs held her against the railing of a 17th-floor balcony. The defense questioned the timeline Bongolan presented.
During a break after her testimony, Subramanian issued a warning to Combs’ defense team when the jury was not present. He said Combs had seemingly communicated with the jury during Bongolan’s testimony.
“I saw your client looking at the jury and nodding vigorously,” he said, per The New York Times. “That is absolutely unacceptable.”
Subramanian asked Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, for assurance that this would not happen again. If it did, he said it would result in the “exclusion of your client from the courtroom.”
Agnifilo assured the judge that Combs would not attempt to make contact with the jury again. When Combs returned to the courtroom, he nodded at reporters and blew the sketch artist a kiss.
