Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Peculiar Food Prefences Revealed in Court
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. While the trial outcome won’t be known for several more weeks, a jury of his peers has already judged his food preferences, and he is guilty of odd food choices. During the testimony of Diddy’s former assistant, the rapper’s peculiar food preferences came up, and the jurors were visibly bothered by it.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs regularly eats apple sauce as a side dish
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a millionaire many times over, despite his current legal struggles. Before his arrest, he was known for his flashy lifestyle, lavish jewelry, and jet-setting ways. Apparently, his lavish preferences did not bleed into his food choices, although he had clear preferences.
During week 2 of the heavily followed trial, George Kaplin and David James took the stand. The two former assistants testified about Diddy’s spending and what they were tasked with doing for the music producer. Both Kaplin and James mentioned Diddy’s preference for apple sauce and how they were asked to keep it stocked consistently.
According to the New York Post, James even testified that Diddy put apple sauce on his cheeseburgers as a topping. While strange food combinations are not all that uncommon, Diddy’s apple sauce cheeseburgers reportedly elicited a reaction from the jury. One juror allegedly found the pairing so repulsive that they gagged.
Food has come up in other testimony, too
While Diddy’s passion for apple sauce was first mentioned by his two assistants, their testimony wasn’t the first time food came up during the trial. Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, took the stand last week and testified about the time she saw Diddy physically attack Cassie Ventura.
Richard recalled Diddy flying into a rage because of how Ventura cooked his eggs. She said the music mogul attempted to strike Ventura in the head with the skillet she was using. Richard said Combs then dragged Ventura upstairs. He called the singer back to his house the next day to issue a warning. Richard said he implied she’d go missing if she spoke about what she saw.
