Netflix has just revealed its vision for the future, and it appears the streaming service provider is ready to bet on reality TV. In a recent press release, the streaming giant announced release dates for a slew of its original reality TV programming. Owning Manhattan is one show that will make its return.

Netflix announces the release date of season 2 of ‘Owning Manhattan’

Fans of Owning Manhattan will get the chance to see Ryan Serhant and his eclectic mix of real estate agents sell off some of Manhattan’s most unique properties again. Netflix announced that season 2 of the series will return on Dec. 5. Several Instagram posts teased what is to come.

Owning Manhattan chronicles Ryan Serhant’s efforts to take his #6 real estate firm all the way to the top. Serhant plans to get the job done by bringing together the talents of veterans, ambitious newcomers, and niche property agents to sell some of New York City’s most sought-after and expensive properties. Season 1 included just 8 episodes, and while critics wondered if fans really needed yet another realtor-led reality TV series, fans were largely impressed with the Manhattan-centric series.

While Netflix offered the real estate mogul the green light on a second season of Owning Manhattan, he busied himself in his downtime with another project. Serhant actually appeared in season 3 of And Just Like That… The highly controversial Sex and the City reboot is an HBO Max exclusive.

Serhant appeared in the season 3 episode “Carrie Golightly” as himself.  In the episode, Serhant buys out Elliot, Seema Patel’s business partner, and acquires the majority of the company. While Serhant offers her the chance to stay on, Seema ultimately decides to break away and launch her own real estate business, although that decision has yet to pay off. He also appeared briefly in a season 2 episode as himself. It’s unclear if he’ll pop up in the series again.
