After playing his college football at Duke University and UCLA, Jake Bobo was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks following the 2023 NFL Draft. When he joined the team, Bobo got some high praise from star wide receiver DK Metcalf, who described him as “more detailed than I will ever be.”

Following the Seahawks’ success in the 2025-26 season, which included a trip to Super Bowl LX, fans want to know more about the wideout’s life away from the Gridiron.

Bobo was born on Aug. 4, 1998, in North Andover, Massachusetts, to parents Mike and Casey. His grandfather, Keith Bobo, played quarterback at SMU and was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1974 draft.

Bobo is a Christian and is engaged to Mackenzie Mae Cole. Here’s what we know about his fiancée.

Cole is an athlete as well

Mackenzie Mae Cole was born on May 3, 2000, in Stony Brook, New York, to parents Rick and Brooke Cole. She has one older sister, Taylor Cole, and one younger brother, Trey Cole.

Mackenzie and Bobo have been together since at least 2021, when they began sharing snaps of each other on social media. Like her fiancé, Mackenzie is an athlete as well.

She played volleyball in college for the Duke Blue Devils. Her siblings also played the sport; Taylor at Iona University and Trey at Pepperdine University.

Mackenzie was an NCAA volleyball star and the 2021 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. She graduated from Duke with a BA in Psychology.

In 2022, she and Bobo both enrolled in UCLA, where Mackenzie earned her Master’s degree in Education.

When Bobo and Cole got engaged

The couple shared via social media in July 2025 that they are engaged with a carousel of photos showing Bobo proposing on one knee and a close-up of Mackenzie’s ring.

Several of the athlete’s Seahawks teammates commented on the post with messages, including Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who wrote, “Let’s goo!!” and a heart emoji. Tight end AJ Barner added, “Lessss gooooo, congratulations” with a heart hands emoji.  And fellow receiver wide receiver Cody White chimed in, “Congrats BOBO” with two fire emojis.
