See Inside Lil Nas X’s California Home Following His Arrest and Walking Around LA Naked
Recording artist Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was arrested and charged with four felonies, including battery with injury on a police officer. The arrest occurred when authorities say he charged at them as they confronted him for walking down Ventura Boulevard in the Studio City section of Los Angeles in his underwear.
The incident took place shortly before 6 a.m. on Aug. 21, when police were asked to respond to a call for a “nude man walking in the street.” Lil Nas X was first transported to a hospital, where he spent several hours before being taken to jail.
He has hired powerhouse attorney Drew Findling to represent him. Some of Findling’s previous clients include Donald Trump, Lil Baby, and Cardi B.
Now, people have all kinds of questions about the “Old Town Road” hitmaker, including where he resides in Los Angeles.
A look inside Lil Naz X’s home in the valley
Lil Nas X purchased his house located in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of LA County for $2.35 million in 2021. It has almost 2,600 square feet of living space and sits on just under half an acre of land.
The home boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet and its own private balcony. The primary bathroom includes dual vanities and a soaking tub. Lil Nas X currently uses one of the rooms as a gym and another as his office space.
The rapper’s pad has several large windows throughout to let in plenty of natural light and show off picturesque views of the San Fernando Valley. Inside, you’ll find an open living and dining concept, a gourmet kitchen with a large island and top-of-the-line appliances, as well as a fireplace.
Outside, there’s a large wooden deck, a swimming pool, a hot tub, and a two-car garage.
Lil Nas X also purchased a house for his father
In a cover story with VMAN, Lil Nas X talked about how his father, Robert Stafford, inspired him to pursue a career in music.
“My dad is a gospel singer. He still sings gospel but not as much,” the “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” artist shared with the publication. “I guess [he] inspired me to say, ‘Wow, if my dad can go out there now, at almost 50 years old, and make music, what’s stopping me?’ It was definitely a part of what pushed me. I actually ended up using one of his engineers for some of my earlier music.”
In 2023, Lil Nas X showed his appreciation for his dad when he bought him a new house as a Father’s Day present, which Stafford happily shared on social media.
Stafford isn’t surprised by all the success his son has had and previously told Peachtree TV in Atlanta: “We both have a talent and we both have a vision. His vision is out of this world. Once he put his mind on something, he goes for it.
“But luck is great for him, and he had the help that I didn’t have. And so I think that makes the difference. He had the father in his life; he had somebody pushing him and supporting him … When he first told me he wanted to drop out of school to pursue a music career, I had never heard him sing one note. But I knew I had to trust in him that he [knew] what he was doing. So I said, ‘Hey, I got your back. Go for it.’”
