Selena Gomez Fires Back After Benny Blanco Cheating Rumors
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco seemed to be living their best life until some nasty cheating rumors began circulating online. Fans began speculating that Blanco was unfaithful to his fiancée with one of her good friends when Gomez unfollowed Theresa Marie Mingus.
The Only Murders in the Building actor met the OnlyFans creator in 2014 and once gushed about their friendship on Instagram, writing: “She has taught me how to see life in a fun, carefree, and uplifting way. She has shown me how to be a strong and fearless woman. She is beautiful, kind, and smart. I saw how capable she was of achieving her dreams. I wanted nothing more than to see her pursue them and soar. And here you are making it happen T. I love you and I am so proud of you.”
So after unfollowing her longtime friend, many fans assumed that Mingus and Blanco had an affair and started flooding Mingus’ social media with questions and accusations. But days later, Gomez decided to shut down those rumors once and for all with another post on Instagram.
On May 8, the singer sent a message with a slideshow of photos featuring several of her pals, including Taylor Swift and Anna Collins.
But much of the focus was on the second picture as Gomez posed with Mingus, making a point to everyone that cheating rumors are nonsense.
Blanco and Gomez began dating in July 2023, but they didn’t go public with their relationship until December 2023. The couple announced they were engaged the following year on Dec. 11, with a carousel of snaps showing a close-up of her engagement ring and a pic of the two celebrating with laughs and hugs.
