Seth Rogen Slammed Jax Taylor’s Complete Lack of Growth in Nearly a Decade on TV: ‘Bad, Bad, Bad Character’
Avid Bravo viewer Seth Rogen has weighed in on Jax Taylor’s recent exit from The Valley. Rogen has said that he and his wife often watch reality television together and have long followed Vanderpump Rules. After seeing some of these people cross over onto The Valley, Rogen said he is glad to see Taylor leave. He doesn’t think there should be a place for him on television any longer.
Seth Rogen doesn’t think Jax Taylor belongs on television
Taylor recently announced his departure from The Valley. He said he hopes to focus on his sobriety and co-parenting his son with estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. Rogen is glad to see him go.
“I don’t think Jax should come back at this point,” Rogen told People. “He’s a pretty, maybe, just bad person. We can say that he’s been that way for 20 years on television or however long it’s been — he doesn’t seem like he’s going to change. He seems no better. Maybe he seems worse the older he gets, I think, in a lot of ways.”
Rogen was completely unimpressed with Taylor’s appearance on the season 2 reunion. In it, he admitted to drawing out his divorce with Cartwright in order to get alimony from her and insulted her for hooking up with other people after their split.
“I did watch the first episode of the reunion already this morning, and, I mean, he was so f***ed up,” Rogen said. “What a f***ing asshole. Yeah, a very bad, bad, bad character.”
Now that Taylor’s spot on the show is open, Rogen joked that he’d accept the job if asked.
“Maybe, if there’s a role, I would,” he said. “Yes, if there’s a role, I would.”
His former co-star had a similar opinion
Taylor’s former co-star, Luke Broderick, has also expressed relief that Taylor has left The Valley. He doesn’t think a person like Taylor should have such a large platform. Still, he said that Taylor could have a space on reality television in the future.
“I think it’s dangerous to give a person like [Jax] the platform that he has because there will always be apologists,” he said on The Viall Files. “Look, Jax is entertaining. Maybe there is some sort of a show for him.”
Broderick’s fiancée, Kristen Doute, has also said she is happy Taylor is no longer on the show.
Seth Rogen’s favorite ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star is not Jax Taylor
Based on his remarks, it’s clear that Rogen is no fan of Taylor. His favorite person on Vanderpump Rules is also controversial with fans, though.
“I just sympathize with Scheana [Shay] the most, I think, out of everyone on the show,” Rogen said on Hot Ones Versus. “Scheana’s made some bad mistakes over the years. She’s chosen the wrong guy a number of times. She has said things publicly perhaps she shouldn’t have. She’s maybe said some things about her friends that she wishes she could take back publicly. I do think ultimately Scheana’s heart is in the right place. And that is, out of all the people on the show, something to be said. And so I like Scheana.”
Right now, Shay is on the bad side of many fans after the publication of her memoir, My Good Side.
