In an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador admitted that her monthly spending reaches nearly $40,000. As Beador deals with financial difficulties, she realized that she is spending more than she can afford. She is not the only Housewife to find herself in a similar position.

Shannon Beador admitted she spends $37k a month

While examining her financial situation with Vicki Gunvalson, Beador realized she is spending over $37k per month. She said that she has realized she needs to get this under control.

“I just want to pay the money that I owe for taxes and everything,” she said. “Like, I want to be squared up.”

Beador revealed that she gives her children $20,000 a month. Other monthly expenses include $3,000 in Uber fees, $900 in healthcare fees, $3,500 in utilities, and renters insurance. Beador also spends $10,500 per month in rent for her home.

Gunvalson informed her that she cannot afford this much in rent. While Beador said she doesn’t want to leave her home, she also understands that she has made some financial mistakes.

“As my spending habits are scrutinized, it’s going to be like, ‘What the f*** were you doing, Shannon?’”

Shannon Beador is hardly the only ‘Housewives’ star to spend more than her means

Beador is not the only Housewives star to face financial troubles. On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, cast members questioned Dorit Kemsley’s spending habits. In divorce proceedings, her estranged husband PK Kemsley also claimed that she spent close to $1 million on retail purchases over 14 months. While she was spending this money, there were missed mortgage payments on their house.

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak also dealt with major financial issues. She owes the IRS over $1 million in unpaid taxes but continued living a lavish lifestyle.

“We still had a house cleaner, a chef, I was like, ‘Mom, how the f*** are we? What do you mean?’” her daughter, Brielle Biermann, said on Heir Time. “She’s like, ‘Because I never wanted this to be taken away from you guys. It’s what you were used to.’”

Lisa Rinna spoke about her clothing budget

Lisa Rinna, who starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, said that her clothing spending skyrocketed during her time on the show.

“I don’t think fans of the Housewives franchises understand that we get ZERO clothing allowance, but we are expected to dress to the nines and never repeat outfits,” she wrote in her new book, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It. “The producers just expect it. This unwritten rule can bankrupt a b**** if she’s not careful.”

She said she spent every penny she earned from the show on her wardrobe.

“No one on Housewives is making any money. I can tell you that,” she wrote. “Because you’re spending it all. I spent most of my salary on clothes.”

Rinna added that she is glad she left the show before bankruptcy.
