Sharon Osbourne’s Wedding Ring From Her Late Husband Ozzy Osbourne Was Stolen During a Break-In
The music world is mourning the loss of an icon after news broke that rock legend and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has died. He was 76.
His family announced his death on July 22, 2025, sharing: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
The sad news comes just weeks after his farewell tour with his Black Sabbath bandmates concluded. During the final show, his daughter, Kelly, got engaged to her longtime partner, Sid Willson, of Slipknot.
Kelly’s unique ring made headlines, but now fans are curious about the ring her father gave her mother. Sharon Osbourne‘s ring has an emotional story behind it as it went missing following a break-in several years ago. Here’s more on that and how much the ring is worth today.
What we know about Sharon’s ring that was stolen and later recovered
Sharon and Ozzy were married for over four decades. She was not only Ozzy’s partner but also his manager and played a key role in launching his successful solo career. In 2002, they gained a whole new generation of fans outside the music world with their MTV reality series The Osbournes.
In light of Ozzy’s recent passing, the jewelry experts at Steven Stone have taken a closer look at Sharon’s deeply personal ring from her late husband to get all the details about it, including how much it’s worth today.
Zack Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Sharon’s original wedding ring is truly a showstopper. Expertly crafted in white gold by Tiffany & Co., the piece showcases a stunning 10-carat round-cut diamond as its centrepiece. The band features a distinctive sweeping, bypass design that gracefully curves around the central stone, creating a fluid and contemporary silhouette. Smaller round diamonds are intricately set into the band — likely in a pavé or channel setting — adding brilliance and enhancing the ring’s overall sense of luxury and sophistication.
“In 2004, the ring was stolen during a break-in, leaving [Sharon] heartbroken. Remarkably, a fan spotted it on Crimewatch and alerted Kelly via Twitter (now X), leading to its recovery by police and Sharon’s emotional reunion with the treasured piece seven years later.”
Zack added: “High-quality diamonds like this tend to appreciate over time, so while Ozzy reportedly paid $260,000 for the ring, its current value is likely closer to $500,000.”
Ozzy was there when his daughter got engaged
July 4 marked Ozzy and Sharon’s 43rd wedding anniversary and the next day, Wilson proposed to Kelly in front of their family and friends at Ozzy’s Back to the Beginning concert.
When speaking about Kelly’s ring, Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Sid proposed with a custom-designed 18k yellow gold ring from Mouawad, thoughtfully crafted to reflect his affectionate nickname for Kelly: ‘Honeybee.’ The ring features a harmonious blend of white and yellow diamonds, accented with radiant citrine — a gemstone long associated with joy, abundance, and the warmth of the sun.
“At its heart lies a breathtaking 2.5 carat round brilliant cut diamond, a symbol of eternity and enduring love … I’d estimate Kelly’s ring to be worth around $100,000.”
