She revealed her daughter, Codi Dreaux, died on Monday, January 26, just days before turning 11 months old. The infant was born in late February 2025, though she was not due until May 2025.
While Snoop Dogg has not commented on the loss of his grandchild, Cori’s fiancé and the father of the child, Wayne Deuce, penned a touching tribute. Cordell Broadus also offered his support on Instagram. Fans and followers flooded the comments with their condolences.
Codi spent time in the NICU
Broadus took to Instagram in February 2025 to announce that her daughter had arrived at just 25 weeks. Over the last nearly 11 months, Broadus has occasionally opened up about her journey as a NICU mom and shared her daughter’s triumphs and feisty spirit despite her fragile health. She also got vulnerable, revealing that she felt immense guilt that the child was born early. Broadus reportedly suffered from HELLP syndrome, a life-threatening pregnancy complication that requires the immediate delivery of the child. Codi Dreaux was born via c-section to save the life of both mother and child.
While Codi was born very premature and spent 10 months in the hospital, things appeared to be on the upswing just weeks ago. In early January, Cori took to Instagram to share big news; Codi had finally been released from the hospital and was settling in at home with the family. Cori thanked fans for their thoughts, messages, and prayers.
