Sophie Rain Sets Record Straight After Her $100 Million OnlyFans Earnings Are Compared to UFC Champ Justin Gaethje’s Pay
OnlyFans star Sophie Rain is firing back after an X post circulated comparing what she makes on the platform to what UFC fighter Justin Gaethje makes in the Octagon.
The post noted that Gaethje, a mixed martial artist who has been in the profession since 2011, has made $2.4 million over the course of his career, while Rain has made $103 million on OnlyFans for just three monthly streams.
Rain did not dispute the amount she’s made, but pushed back on the claim that she only does three streams a month.
She responded to the post that has been viewed more than 5.8 million times, writing, “I’m not saying I don’t get paid a ridiculously absurd amount, but to say all I do is ‘3 streams monthly’ when I am legit on my phone posting, engaging, talking to people, making videos every single day without breaks since 2023 is wild.”
The comparison sparked a debate among fans about Gaethje, who has compiled a 25-7 record over 15 years and 32 fights and earned 15 performance bonuses during his UFC tenure, to Rain’s work as one of OF’s highest-paid content creators since 2023.
“That’s not the point Sophie. Nobody who does OnlyFans or internet content should ever be getting paid more that what a blue collar worker or a combat sports athlete gets. The difference is that fighters put their life on the line to make a living,” one person opined.
“You’d do that anyway. Name a single girl from middle school on who isn’t on their phones, engaging, posting, and making calls every day. You just post mature content along with it, which a lot of men want to see. You don’t need to excuse the imbalance. It is what it is,” a second person posted.
A third added, “Saying that talking to your phone is harder than risking your life in an octagon cage is wild take.”

A fourth user chimed in, “The comparison really doesn’t capture the full picture of what each career involves. Content creation is genuinely 24/7 work, the filming, editing, posting, and constant engagement adds up to way more than just “3 streams monthly.” At the same time, fighters put their bodies and health on the line in ways most of us can’t fully comprehend. Both careers have their own unique demands and challenges.”
Others came to Rain’s defense, explaining that she’s “smart” with her brand being able to make that type of money and it’s “fair play” saying, “It’s not your fault if you are the smarter one of the 2. And yes, people think that money just rain in (pun intended), they don’t think there’s a lot of hard work behind! I truly admire you!” and “I mean, $100mill+ per year and she’s not actually doing anything explicit or nude. Fair play.”
And as another person pointed out, “Same reason NBA players make more money than WNBA, more people are watching. Whether anyone thinks she deserves it or not, the free market has spoken! Good for her. I hope she manages her money smartly.”
