Sophie Turner has been promoting her new movie, Trust, but when she stepped out in New York City ahead of he appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, she had people talking about more than her film.

Before visiting the late night show, the Game of Thrones actress sparked fresh engagement rumors with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, who she split from in April but recently reconnected with. There’s no confirmation as of yet that the pair are engaged, but the photos of Turner sporting a huge diamond ring on that finger have some convinced they are.

Now, the diamond experts at Steven Stone are taking a closer look at Turner’s stunning ring and sharing more details about the massive rock that cost way more than the ring her first husband, Joe Jonas, gave her.

Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Crafted from 18k gold, Sophie’s new ring appears to showcase a natural Old European cut diamond, hand-set in a sleek bezel mounting. Its design is strikingly bold and contemporary, with smooth, substantial gold edges framing the round-cut stone.

“The piece is believed to be the work of New York-based jeweller Briony Raymond, celebrated for her luxurious creations that often highlight substantial gold craftsmanship, bezel settings, and statement gemstones. Judging by the size of the stone — which appears to be as large as 20 carats — I’d estimate the ring’s value to be in the region of $7 million.”

He added, “While the ring leans more toward a fashion-forward statement piece than a traditional engagement style, it could serve either purpose depending on the wearer’s preference. If it does signify an engagement, Sophie’s choice would mark a sharp departure from the ring she received from Joe Jonas. That one featured a 3-carat pear-cut diamond set on a double pavé band, designed to maximize its sparkle — a distinctive piece I previously valued at around $180,000.”

Turner and Jonas were married on June 29, 2019. They finalized their divorce on Sept. 6, 2024.
