Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been dating since 2023. Since then, they’ve been spotted out together on several occasions, from concerts to tennis matches to basketball games, and even made their red carpet debut in 2025 at the 70th David Di Donatello in Rome.

But now, according to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, sources have claimed that people in Chalamet’s circle think attending high-profile events and award shows with the reality star is bad for his career.

They firmly believe that he would have taken home the Oscar for Best Actor had it not been for his headline-making relationship with Jenner, saying, “He was supposed to win for the Bob Dylan biopic. Instead, Adrien Brody swooped in and stole the narrative — showing up with class, not Kardashians.”

Moreover, these insiders have reportedly said that the members of the Academy likely aren’t fans of Jenner and her always-in-the-tabloids family.

“He’s in love, but blind to the fallout,” said one confidant. “The guy’s got talent — but this isn’t the vibe Hollywood rewards.”

Someone in Chalamet’s corner who has publicly shown support for their relationship is the Dune actor‘s ex-girlfriend, Eiza Gonzalez.

Back in May, she liked some red-carpet photos Vanity Fair posted of the pair on Instagram.

During a segment with Cosmopolitan’s Cheap Shots, Gonzalez was asked about giving the pics a “like” and responded: “I did like it. They look so cute together, they look so in love, and I’m obsessed with them.”

She added: “I love [Timothée]. I think he’s the most talented, sweetest boy, and I’m just so proud to see him thriving and doing good in his career. We’re just good friends.”
