Stefon Diggs and Aileen Lopera’s Paternity Battle: A Complete Timeline
Stefon Diggs is headed to the AFC Championship game with the New England Patriots. While he’s been busy with his NFL off-season, he has had some legal battles to contend with, too. Thankfully for him, he’ll have one less legal issue to deal with moving forward. The mother of his daughter, Charliee, has officially dropped her child support lawsuit after Stefon Diggs acknowledged paternity of the infant. Let’s take a look back at the legal battle’s timeline.
Aileen Lopera filed a paternity lawsuit against Stefon Diggs back in December 2024
Ailen Lopera, the mother of one of Stefon Diggs’ children, filed a lawsuit way back in December 2024. She was still pregnant with her daughter at the time. In the filing, Lopera claimed that Diggs was the father of her unborn child. She sought sole custody, child support, and coverage for pregnancy-related costs from the NFL veteran.
In April 2025, Lopera gave birth to a baby girl. Diggs did not immediately acknowledge the child. He did not respond to Lopera’s lawsuit until July 2025, three months after Lopera welcomed their baby. In his response, Diggs requested a DNA test to establish paternity. In November 2025, court filings indicated that Diggs is the biological father of Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera.
The paternity suit has been dropped, and Diggs and Lopera are working together
According to Page Six, there will be no drama between Lopera and Diggs moving forward. The former flames are working toward co-parenting together now that Diggs has acknowledged paternity of Lopera’s daughter. They have presumably settled the child support and custody details, as well, as Lopera’s lawyer stated that the matter had been resolved.
Diggs was likely eager to settle the issue. The wideout has been in the news a lot over the last several months, and it hasn’t always been for his on-the-field prowess. He is currently dealing with the legal fallout of a former employee accusing him of assault. He also welcomed several children over the last year, so surely more custody issues will pop up.

While Aileen Lopera’s paternity lawsuit against Stefon Diggs took center stage in the news for several months, she was not the only woman expecting a baby with the wide receiver in 2025. Diggs welcomed three more children after Charliee made her grand entrance.
Just days after Lopera gave birth to Charliee, Cayy Benji announced the arrival of her daughter. Diggs is reportedly her father, as well. He also famously welcomed a baby boy with Cardi B in November, and has acknowledged being the father of another boy born to K’yanna Barber the same month. Aside from the four children he added to his family in 2025, Diggs has two other children. His first child, Nova, was born in 2016. His second daughter, Shiloh, was born in 2023.
