Stefon Diggs Confirmed He Won’t Propose to Cardi B Before the Super Bowl
Cardi B has supported her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, on his journey to the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. While some have wondered if the couple, who share a child, are headed toward marriage, Diggs recently confirmed that Cardi will not have a ring on her finger when she watches the big game. He said he has no plans to propose before the Super Bowl.
Stefon Diggs addressed a potential proposal to Cardi B
Diggs, a wide receiver with the Patriots, is headed to the Super Bowl for the first time this year. He and Cardi took their relationship public in early 2025, and they welcomed a child together in November. As a result, some have wondered if they’re preparing to take the next step in their relationship.
“It’s on the agenda, maybe,” Diggs told reporters, per TMZ. “Right? Right?”
Still, he said Cardi will not be getting a ring from him before the Super Bowl.
“I gotta get mine first, though,” he said.
Cardi was previously married to rapper Offset. They share three children together.
How long have Stefon Diggs and Cardi B been together?
After many tumultuous years with Offset, Cardi has appeared to move on for good in her relationship with Diggs. She and the NFL player were first spotted together in late 2024, several months after she filed for divorce from Offset. While she denied a relationship, rumors about them heated up after they spent Valentine’s Day together in 2025.
They confirmed their relationship in the summer. Cardi said Diggs’ work ethic has inspired her.
“He has to do two different things: learn his playbook and get physical,” she told Billboard. “He has to be in bed at a certain time and wake up at a certain time. I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh. You’re literally in the military. You really work hard.’ I work hard, but I can take a little break. I can lay back and I don’t have to be running, but it’s very inspirational to see how hard somebody works. It’s just like, ‘Wow. You should be proud of yourself.’”
She admitted it hasn’t been easy to date another public figure, but it feels worth it to her.
“It’s tough hiding,” she said. “It’s tough dating in your 30s, too, but I like him. I love him, today.”
They welcomed a son in November 2025.
She spoke about her excitement for her boyfriend
Cardi has supported Diggs throughout this NFL season and is looking forward to watching him play on Feb. 8.
“I’m feeling very excited, and very happy for him, very proud of him,” she said after the AFC Championship Game, per CNN. “You know, he just came back from an ACL and me seeing the progress and the process of him going from there, from the first time he started running back and now joining the Patriots and actually going to the Super Bowl. I’m very excited for him, very excited for the whole team.”
She will likely attend the Super Bowl, as she has plans to perform at the Fanatics Super Bowl Party in San Francisco the day before.
