Suge Knight and Sean “Diddy” Combs have been rivals for decades. Still, Knight, who is serving out a prison sentence, said he doesn’t want to see Combs spend the rest of his behind bars. He also does not think he will. Knight thinks Combs will avoid a prison sentence.

Suge Knight doesn’t think Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will go to prison

Combs’ trial is nearing its end. The prosecution and defense have rested their cases, and closing arguments are set to begin on June 26. From there, the jury will begin deliberations. Knight thinks the jury will decide in Combs’ favor.

“I’m in prison right now and Puffy will probably get off,” Knight told People.

Knight thinks that if Combs avoids prison time, he will immediately fall back into the pattern of behavior that landed him in jail.

“And guess what? When he come home, he gonna have another White Party,” Knight said. “Then, as time go on, they goin’ say, ‘Puffy, we coming to the freak offs. Just don’t make sure you have no cameras.’ Nothing’s gonna change.”

Suge Knight thinks Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs deserves a prison sentence

While Knight said that he feels bad for Combs on some level and doesn’t want to see him go to prison for life, he thinks he deserves to face consequences.

“He does deserve [prison],” Knight said. “I don’t mean like… ‘Oh, you beat the s*** out of Cassie, so, oh well.’ No, she’s a woman. You should never disrespect a woman like that. What I am saying is how do we fix this? I think everyone should be held accountable — even myself. I don’t care who it is. Anybody who does those horrible things to women deserves their issue.”

He said that the way Combs treated Ventura was “unacceptable.”

“I would never support any man to beat a woman like that,” he said. “When he came around that corner, Puff did beat the dog s*** out of her.”

He shared the advice he would give his longtime rival

Even though Combs and Knight were at odds for years, Knight said he would offer Combs advice.

“If I could talk to Puffy, I would. But for me to convince him to do the right thing? They probably got to put me in a cell with him,” he said. “I would walk in that cell, I would pick Puffy up and throw him on his back. I’d say, ‘Look, man. I don’t hate you. I don’t wanna see you die in prison.’”

He believes that the only way for Combs to do the right thing is to testify.

“You know how big that would be if he told the truth? At the end of the day — this trial —everybody’s watching,” Knight said. “Why not make this a healing process? So, if I can man up… Puffy, don’t be a b****, my n****. Go in there and man up.”

Ultimately, though, Combs will not testify during his trial. He faces life in prison if convicted.
