Suge Knight Says Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Will Be Pardoned by Donald Trump if Convicted
Suge Knight and Sean “Diddy” Combs were at odds for years. Since Combs’ arrest in 2024, Knight has spoken frequently about what he thinks of the disgraced music mogul. While Knight and Combs feuded for years, the former thinks Combs has little to worry about in his trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. Knight predicted that even if Combs is convicted, Donald Trump will pardon him.
Suge Knight predicts that Donald Trump will pardon Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Combs is currently on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. If convicted, he faces life in prison. Still, Knight thinks Combs has little cause for concern. He said he thought Combs would somehow contact members of the jury.
“I still feel that Puffy’s gonna be all right and have a fair shot at it, because Puffy didn’t — he’s not a dummy,” Knight said on NewsNation’s “CUOMO.” “I’m quite sure somebody’s going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them — that’s all you need, is one. So, at the end of the day, it’s going to be a real exciting situation, but I think he’s going to be all right.”
Even if the jury convicts Combs, Knight thinks he could avoid much prison time. Combs personally knows Trump, who Knight thinks will pardon him.
“I think he got some favors with the government,” Knight said, adding, “I think they’re going to show him a little leeway. It might not seem like it when it’s all said and done, but I don’t think he had nothing to worry about. I don’t think he’s worried, because he’s going to be federal. And if he gets convicted, Trump’s going to pardon him.”
His team has reportedly been working on getting a pardon
Per Rolling Stone, Knight’s prediction could have some truth to it. Sources told the outlet that people close to Combs have been trying to cozy up to Trump administration officials.
“He’s willing to do anything to get out of jail,” the source said, noting, “He’s always been this way. He’s always going to do what he has to do to get out of a situation.”
While the sources say Combs “doesn’t even like Donald Trump,” he has spoken highly of him in the past.
“Donald Trump is a friend of mine, and he works very hard,” he told The Washington Post in 2015.
Suge Knight once also said Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ life was in danger
Shortly after Combs’ arrest, Knight offered his longtime rival advice for life behind bars.
“I’ll tell you what, Puffy, your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets of who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” Knight said on his podcast, Collect Call with Suge Knight (per The Source). “You know they gonna get you if they can… I turned myself in. Sometimes you gotta face the music, that’s most of the time.”
Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter.
