In Lisa Rinna’s recently published memoir, she made comments about former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Sutton Stracke that many viewed as a low blow. Rinna, who has feuded with Stracke for years, disparagingly described Stracke’s style and body. While Stracke said that she wasn’t bothered by the description, she didn’t want to see her friends reading the book.

Lisa Rinna insulted Sutton Stracke in her memoir

In her memoir You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Rinna said she doesn’t have many regrets about her time on RHOBH. She stands by her actions and her fashion choices.

“Overall, I give myself an A minus for my fashion choices on the show,” she wrote. “I can’t really think of one thing that was superbad where I cringe and go, ‘Oh my God, that was hideous!’ I can’t say the same for some of my cohorts.”

She pointed to Stracke as “living proof that money can’t buy you taste.

“I’m happy to drag Sutton,” she wrote. “She’s frumpy, there’s no sex appeal about her whatsoever, and she’s got a weird body. So God bless her.”

The passage felt unnecessarily mean to many readers, even those who consider themselves fans of Rinna.

Sutton Stracke said she doesn’t want her friends reading Lisa Rinna’s book

In a recent appearance on Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast, Stracke said she has not seen the way Rinna described her in the book. She has no intention of reading it, and didn’t want her friends to read it either.

“I didn’t hear any excerpts,” Sutton said. “I, of course, was never gonna read her book. In fact, Jennifer [Tilly] got her book, and I was like, ‘Why would you read that? That kind of offends… That really offends me.’”

She told Tilly that she didn’t like that she had the book. If a copy made its way into her possession, she would have thrown it in the trash.

“I said that offends me as a friend,” Sutton said. “I told Jennifer that. And of course, if I had gotten the book, I would’ve done the same thing she did to Garcelle’s book — I would’ve thrown it in the trash where it belongs.”

She also declined to comment on the way her former co-star described her

In March, Stracke avoided a question about the way Rinna described her in the book. She said she wasn’t going to let the body-shaming bother her.

“I didn’t have a reaction,” Sutton said on the Housewives Nightcap podcast. “Like who cares? I don’t care. I don’t care. No.”
