SZA Defended Justin and Hailey Bieber Amid Speculation About Their Marriage
Hailey Bieber has recently defended herself against claims that she reposted a video about her marriage to Justin Bieber. In a TikTok video, a social media user said that Hailey was willing to put up with “abuse” in her marriage. In a comment on the video, SZA called out the social media user for speaking with such certainty on the relationship.

In a recent TikTok video, a user said that some some celebrity relationships work because the woman “tolerates mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship.”
The user used Justin and Hailey as an example and went on to claim that they were only together because she “will tolerate that abuse.” Social media users claimed that Hailey reposted the video, which she denied.
“Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Have a beautiful Saturday!”
SZA defended the celebrity couple in a TikTok comment
SZA, who has performed with Justin in the past, commented on the video to ask about the user’s credentials.
“Hi are you a licensed therapist or psychologist?” she wrote. “You speak with SUCH certainty and Id like to know. Peace.”
When the user responded to say that she’d worked as a behavioral specialist, SZA questioned whether she should be diagnosing the Biebers’ relationship without knowing them personally.
“Thank you so much !” she responded. “My sister also has a masters in psychology and IS a licensed therapist ..I respect study and inquiry posed as just that .. however publicly diagnosing people you have absolutely no contact with and presenting that information as fact under the premise of education ..may be a bit dangerous? for all parties including those you wish to educate. Just an opinion! All respect to you.”

Hailey and Justin faced criticism over their relationship even before their wedding. She admitted that this has not been easy on her.
“Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,” she told Vogue. “And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, They’re getting divorced and They’re this and They’re not happy: It is such a mindf***. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”
She has pushed back against the negativity surrounding her marriage.
“Well, I thought seven years in it would’ve already, and it hasn’t,” she said. “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no. So I guess these b****es are going to be mad.”
