A contestant from Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette is trying to move on with Jessi Draper, her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-star. Brandon Perce, a contestant who competed for Paul’s heart, has publicly reached out to Draper. In a post to his Instagram account, Perce asked for help getting Draper’s attention.

A contestant from Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ reached out to Jessi Draper

Draper’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, filed for divorce on March 19. Shortly afterward, Perce reached out to Draper on Instagram

“Alright, so this message is for Jessi from Single Lives of Mormon Wives,” he said, getting the show’s title wrong. “Now that you’re single, I have a friend who is interested. He’s a dad. He’s got tattoos, likes to work out. He has a job, doesn’t like to golf. He’s got history with one of your friends. So, Instagram, if you can do what you do and tag her in the comments so she sees this. Let’s make it happen.”

Draper responded with “Hi.” Perce responded, “oh hey there, I think my friend sent you a DM.”

Jessi Draper defended Taylor Frankie Paul

It’s not clear how far Perce made it on The Bachelorette because ABC pulled the season shortly before it aired. Footage of Paul attacking her ex, Dakota Mortensen, in 2023 led to this decision. While many people have criticized Paul, Draper defended her. She said that it was “really hard” to watch the footage, but she believes that Paul can learn from it.

“Taylor really has made a lot of changes, and that’s what’s so hard for me. This is my real friend, and she does have a really good heart,” she said on Call Her Daddy. “There’s so much pain underneath the surface for Taylor.”

Reports surfaced that other Mormon Wives cast members wanted distance from Paul after more recent allegations made by Mortensen.

She is going through a divorce

Draper’s marriage to Jordan Ngatikaura recently ended.

“This has not been an easy decision and it comes with a heavy heart. I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons,” Ngatikaura said in a statement to People. “While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect.”

Draper said that she received “emotional abuse” in the marriage. Still, she spoke about working through their problems in therapy just days before Ngatikaura filed.

“I just wanted to share that because I know marriage is hard, relationships are hard, and it’s normal to struggle,” she said. “Even in a good relationship, you’re gonna have ups and downs. So I just think it’s good to show people that it’s worth fighting for, it’s worth working through and it’s something that’s always a work in progress.”

Draper said that Ngatikaura blindsided her when he filed for divorce.
