Taylor Swift Fans Hope Justin Baldoni Faces Consequences After a Private Investigator Was Arrested at Travis Kelce’s Home
Not long after a judge denied Justin Baldoni’s legal team’s request for an extension to depose Taylor Swift in his case with Blake Lively, a private investigator attempted to serve her papers. On Sept. 15, police officers arrested private investigator Justin Lee Fisher at Travis Kelce’s home. He was on the property, reportedly seeking out Swift, at around 2 a.m. Swift’s fans hope Baldoni and his team face consequences for the incident.
Taylor Swift fans are not happy with Justin Baldoni and his legal team
Kansas police officers charged Fisher with hopping Kelce’s fence and trespassing on private property. Fisher was reportedly attempting to serve Swift with deposition papers. Her fans have found the incident appalling.
“I am sure Swift and Kelce have had credible threats against their lives before, and likely some that [are] still ongoing,” wrote one Reddit user. “To do something like this is absolutely insane.”
While many have pointed out Fisher’s inappropriate actions, others have targeted their frustration at Baldoni and his team.
“I’m so sick of this Baldoni douche and his scumbag team,” wrote one person.
“Sleazy is as sleazy does,” added another person. “The whole plaintiff team!”
People expressed hope that Baldoni’s team would face consequences for the situation. A judge already denied his team’s request to depose Swift.
“I just hope Baldoni’s lawyer gets sanctioned for this,” wrote one person. “Federal Judges (competent ones at least) don’t f*** around.”
Others said they found the action impossible to defend.
“This is one of those times I hope this is fake celebrity gossip,” wrote another person. “If it’s not, I have zero respect for anyone still defending Baldoni. Ignore the security they have, and think about getting woken up at 2 am after someone trespasses on your property to serve you.”
Blake Lively’s lawyers have also slammed Justin Baldoni’s team for involving Taylor Swift
Though Swift’s lawyers confirmed she would appear for a deposition if subpoenaed, they emphasized that she has nothing to do with the case between Lively and Baldoni. Lively’s lawyers have also pushed back against the effort to involve Swift.
“The Wayfarer defendants have repeatedly sought to bring Ms. Swift into this litigation to fuel their relentless media strategy,” Lively’s lawyer Michael J. Gottlieb wrote (per Rolling Stone). “In this latest effort, the Wayfarer defendants assert – though, notably, without evidence – that Ms. Swift has supposedly ‘agreed’ to sit for a deposition sometime between October 20-25, some three weeks after the close of fact discovery in this matter.”
Gottlieb accused Baldoni’s lawyers of trying to drum up media attention and disrespecting Swift’s time.
“Ms. Swift is someone whose calendar should be presumed to be packed with professional obligations for months in advance,” he added. “At any point over the past six months, the Wayfarer defendants could have noticed a deposition, served a subpoena, and negotiated an agreeable time and place for this deposition. But they did not.”
Swift and Lively have not been seen together in months
Amid all the legal proceedings, Swift and Lively have reportedly had a falling out. The pair were close friends for years, but sources say they’re no longer on good terms.
“Taylor and Blake aren’t speaking,” a source told People in August.
The song “Ruin the Friendship” on Swift’s upcoming album is reportedly about Lively.
