Taylor Swift has revealed the album cover for The Life of a Showgirl, but she’s also released a series of limited edition versions. These feature different images on the cover. While some fans have grumbled about the multitude of releases, others have different gripes. Some think that the limited edition versions are better than the main cover, while others have criticized the artwork.

Some Taylor Swift fans like a limited edition cover more than the actual cover

Swift recently released the “Baby, That’s Show Business Collection,” a limited edition vinyl pressing. It comes in blue and gold, but both have the same cover image. In it, Swift wears a yellow feathered headdress and boa, and dances with a group of showgirls.

“Not a Taylor Swift fan by any means, but this is a great cover,” wrote one Reddit user.

Some fans say they wish this were the cover of the main album. Swift has released a variety of different images for the album.

“I like this one the best,” wrote another person. “Should’ve been the main album cover.”

Many people felt that the image, which featured dancers from her Eras Tour, best fit the “showgirl” theme of the album.

“With some of her Eras dancers,” wrote another person. “Really seems to lean into the performance aspect of the showgirl on this one vs. others which were the after.”

Fans who like this album cover will be able to purchase it until Aug. 23 at 1:59 pm ET, or as long as supplies last.

Others say the Taylor Swift limited edition cover doesn’t impress them

Some of Swift’s fans want to see the “Baby, That’s Show Business” edition as the main cover image. Others vehemently disagree.

“Something is really off about the art for this album,” wrote one person. “It’s just not giving what it needs to Give.”

People even said that this was their least favorite image of the bunch.

“This may be the worst one yet,” commented one person. “When it first loaded in my home page, I legit thought it might’ve been some Marvel movie creature reveal. [It] took a second for my brain to process what I was seeing.”

Even commenters who liked the image didn’t think it should be the main cover.

“Beautiful photo (love the Eras tour dancers) but my least favorite cover,” wrote one person.

She shared why she posed in a bathtub

The official album cover features Swift in a bathtub, wearing a diamond body suit. She said her Eras Tour inspired her to make the record, and she wanted to show fans how she typically ended the night after a show.

“My day ends in a bathtub, not usually in a bedazzled dress … I wanted to glamorize all the aspects of how the tour felt,” she said on the New Heights podcast. “I wanted to have an offstage moment as the main album cover because the album isn’t really about what happened onstage, but what happened offstage.”
