Taylor Swift is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, but even she gets starstruck sometimes. Earlier in her career, Swift said she didn’t feel starstruck all that often. When she met two famous women, though, she experienced the feeling, sharing what it was like to spend time with them.

Taylor Swift said meeting 2 people left her feeling starstruck

Swift was fascinated by the Kennedy family. In 2012, she briefly dated Conor Kennedy and had a chance to meet some of his family members.

“The only time in my life I have ever been starstruck was meeting Caroline and Ethel Kennedy,” she told Vogue. “I got to spend the afternoon with Ethel a couple of weeks ago. She is one of my favorites because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby, and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody. You know, 11 kids, all these exotic animals on their property. I’ve read a lot about them.”

She said she found it inspiring that Ethel Kennedy was so well-adjusted and happy despite a life in the public eye.

“Sometimes you see these people who are just so — God — so affected by all of it, where ambition has taken precedence over happiness,” she said. “But when I meet people who really embody this serenity of knowing that they have had an amazing life — James Taylor, Kris Kristofferson, and Ethel Kennedy. . . . They just seem to be effervescent.”

She had a Cape Cod home near the Kennedy family’s

In 2012, Swift even purchased a house in Cape Cod. She spent $5 million on the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home while she was dating Conor Kennedy. When the relationship ended, it seems her interest in owning property near the Kennedys did too; she sold it in 2013 for $5.675 million.

The property sits on 1.1 acres and has private beachfront access. It recently went on the market again for $14.5 million.

“With over 5,000 square feet of beautifully curated living space, every room is oriented toward the water, maximizing natural light and drawing the outside in,” reads the listing. “A dramatic entry foyer opens to sweeping views of the sea, setting the tone for the home’s seamless connection to its extraordinary backdrop. Whitewashed plank walls, beamed ceilings, and wide windows evoke a breezy, beachy elegance, while refined finishes and rustic details lend warmth and authenticity.”

The house quickly sold.

Taylor Swift recently left another person feeling starstruck

While Swift said she doesn’t feel starstruck often, she has this effect on other people. When Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson met her recently, he said she impressed him.

“I shook her hand, I still haven’t washed my hand,” he said, per Parade. “She’s so normal, she’s so nice! Not that I was expecting anything different, but like, she knew football. She was talking like, ‘We [the Chiefs] got a big game at Cowboys this year!'”
