Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift nearly broke the internet when they announced their engagement.
A post on Aug. 26, 2025, that included a carousel of photos of the pair and the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” set off all kinds of speculation about their big day.
Many took bets on when their nuptials would actually take place, where it would be held, who would be in the wedding party, and what the bride’s dress would look like. But Swifties may have been more into the wedding planning than the couple.
Here’s why the NFL star and the “Karma” singer have reportedly put all planning on the back burner for now.
Reason Swift and Kelce have reportedly delayed wedding planning
According to Page Six, Swift and Kelce will tie the knot on June 13, 2026, and will say “I do” at Swift’s Rhode Island mansion. But as for all the other plans that go into that special day, the two aren’t thinking about that now. This news was shared by multiple sources and first reported via Rob Shuter’s #NaughtyButNice on Substack.
“They’re not even halfway through the guest list,” the sources claimed. “Right now it’s more about enjoying time together than crunching spreadsheets.”
According to these insiders, the reason the two aren’t excitedly planning for their next chapter at the moment is because “Travis is still figuring out if he’s playing next year. They don’t want to stress over a wedding when there’s so much else going on …Taylor is usually so meticulous about every detail, but with Travis, she’s relaxed. They’re taking it slow. The wedding isn’t stressing them out yet — they’re savoring the engagement.”

Something Swift may have nailed down already that doesn’t need additional planning is what type of dress she’s going to wear when she walks down the aisle. Celebrity psychic astrolger Inbaal Honigman predicted that the “Love Story” artist already knows exactly what she’s going to wear that day.
