Now that Taylor Swift has released her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, she has time to plan her wedding with Travis Kelce. While Swift has only spoken in vague terms about her marriage ceremony, many have speculated about it since she announced her engagement. A jewelry expert said Swift’s wedding band will likely have sentimental value.

Swift’s old mine-cut engagement ring combines both a modern and antique feel to a romantic effect. Justin Daughters, the managing director at Berganza, believes her wedding band will be similar.

“Taylor’s wedding band will likely carry the same romantic, story-rich spirit as her engagement ring,” he tells Showbiz Cheat Sheet in an emailed statement. “With an 8–10 carat old mine-cut diamond set in 18k yellow gold as the centrepiece, the band is probably meant to complement, rather than compete with, that striking stone. A delicate, vintage-inspired yellow gold band seems fitting, perhaps adorned with tiny pavé diamonds or subtle engraving that echoes the antique charm of the engagement ring.”

He believes Swift will likely stack a curved band around her diamond engagement ring. He also said that Swift will almost certainly include sentimental details in her ring.

“Given Taylor’s love of storytelling through jewellery, the band might carry intimate personal touches, gemstones with sentimental meaning, delicate filigree, or engraved motifs reflecting her life, relationships, or musical journey,” he said. “The goal wouldn’t be ostentation, but rather a piece that feels thoughtful, personal, and, in her own lyrics, ‘Timeless.’”

Swift’s engagement ring made a splash when she announced her upcoming marriage on social media. People began searching for it at an unprecedented rate.

As someone who has spent nearly two decades in jewelry manufacturing and retail, I’ve witnessed celebrity influence on consumer trends before, but this phenomenon transcends typical market responses — it’s reshaping an entire industry conversation.”

Jewelers could see an uptick in requests for old mine-cut diamonds following Swift’s engagement.

In conversations about her wedding, Swift has said that she wants a big celebration with many guests. Still, sources say that she and Kelce are enjoying engagement instead of jumping into wedding planning.

“It’s still in the very early planning stages,” a source told Us Weekly. “There is no venue or location set yet.”

Swift is enjoying getting ready for her wedding, though. 

“She is having so much fun researching venues and locations,” the source said. “She’s in the ideation phase and enjoying it because she’s so creative.”

She has noted that until she met Kelce, she never thought about what she wanted out of a wedding.
