Taylor Swift’s $17 Million Wedding Venue, Revealed
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly planning to host their wedding at the singer’s Rhode Island mansion. The singer has owned the massive home since 2013, and is planning to make updates ahead of the big day. Here’s a look at Swift’s home and future wedding venue.
Sources say Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have secured their wedding venue
Given Swift and Kelce’s level of wealth, they have a great deal of flexibility when it comes to picking a wedding venue. After reportedly considering a destination wedding, sources say that Swift and Kelce have decided to stay close to home. Page Six reports that the couple will marry at Swift’s Rhode Island mansion.
Swift bought the home for $17.75 million in 2013. The 11,000 square foot house sits on a hill overlooking the ocean and its 700 feet of private beachfront. It has eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and a large pool in the backyard. Over the years, Swift has hosted a number of celebrity friends at the mansion.
As she prepares for her wedding, Swift has reportedly begun to update the house. The U.S. Sun reports that Swift is preparing her garden with a $1.2 million renovation project.
“She wants the entire celebration to feel like a wave of flowers, with arrangements of white, purple, and pink orchids, plus blue, white, and pink hydrangeas, and peonies in pink, white, and red tones,” the source said, adding, “Taylor dreams of being fully surrounded by flowers, with lush floral bushes everywhere, making her teenage dream of marrying in a sea of flowers come true.”
The history of Swift’s Rhode Island mansion inspired her song “The Last Great American Dynasty.”
Taylor Swift is planning to have a big wedding
Swift’s expansive estate is a good pick for the venue, as she said she hopes to have a big wedding. She thinks this will lower her stress during the planning process.
“I’m so excited about it,” she said on The Graham Norton Show. “I know it’s gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble.”
She noted that she doesn’t want to have to reassess her relationship with anyone, so she wants to invite everyone she loves. The guest list likely won’t be clear until after the wedding, but Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid are reportedly bridesmaids in the ceremony.
The home is one of many that she owns
Swift’s real estate portfolio includes more than just her sprawling Rhode Island property. Per Elle Decor, in 2009, she purchased a condo in Nashville that she still owns today. She also owns a 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom penthouse in Tribeca and the townhouse next door to it.
She also owns a large estate in Nashville and a historic mansion in Beverly Hills. She and Kelce are reportedly looking to expand her real estate portfolio with a home in Kansas City or Ohio. In total, she owns millions of dollars’ worth of property.
