With each passing day, the public is learning more and more about the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni drama that involves some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

The It Ends With Us co-stars have been feuding since the release of their film in 2024. Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and ahead of a summary judgment hearing, several texts and emails that the actress sent to other stars were unsealed. The Gossip Girl alum and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, reportedly tried to use influence and weight from their famous friends and allies in the industry to exert creative control over the movie.

Lively emailed Ben Affleck and expressed her frustrations about Baldoni. She then asked the Argo actor to watch her cut of It Ends With Us and give her some notes. Reynolds also reached out to Affleck’s best friend, Matt Damon, about seeing the movie and wanted to get his thoughts. While Affleck didn’t respond, Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, did and offered their support to Lively. Damon later spoke to Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group CEO Tom Rothman and fully supported Lively’s preferred edit of the film.

Texts between Lively and Taylor Swift were released as well. Those exchanges have surprised many fans because Swift’s team previously said that she was not involved and stayed out of what was going on between Lively and Baldoni. They insisted that the singer’s only connection was allowing the licensing of her song.

The texts, though, prove otherwise with Swift attending a secret meeting to support Lively’s ideas and calling Baldoni a “bitch” while using phrasing about a “tiny violin” in reference to the director.

In a text after their meeting, Lively told Swift, “You were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan. I kept remembering stuff — You making s*** up about me and lenses. And referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falling for all of it. But also resisting it. You are the world’s absolutely greatest friend. I won the lottery.”

The “Bad Blood” artist has garnered a lot of backlash after the texts were made public as many fans have been commenting about her involvement and being a “mean girl” on her fiancé, Travis Kelce‘s Instagram posts. Now, a source says the pop star is pretty upset about the whole thing.

“It’s honestly been really hard for Taylor,” a source told Us Weekly. “Having her texts out there made her feel exposed and kind of violated, like, something private suddenly wasn’t hers anymore. That doesn’t sit well with her. She wasn’t trying to get involved or make anything bigger; she was just supporting Blake as a friend, in what she thought was a private moment. It’s turned into this whole thing that she didn’t ask for.”

A second source told the publication that Swift is “obviously not happy” with her messages being made public.

“Even though she was sending Blake messages and went to the apartment, she wasn’t involved in creating a master plan to take anyone down,” the source added. “She was being supportive of her friend, and that is it. Just as any friend would.”
