She claims he’s super stable.

Amber Portwood officially has a new man in her life. This weekend, Portwood took to TikTok to have a relatively relaxed and laid-back live event. During the chill session, Portwood dropped a bit of a bombshell. She revealed that she has been in a relationship for a few weeks now. A Reddit user recorded the event.
Portwood didn’t share the name of her new love or how they met, but she did say they’ve been seeing each other for a month. She also noted that her latest partner has a stable career path, having held the same job for over 20 years. While she didn’t share his name, she did say he was from North Carolina. While Portwood spent some time on the East Coast back in May, she didn’t mention if she acquired her new relationship while traveling or if she met her man in Indiana.
Her last relationship ended in dramatic fashion
While Amber Portwood hasn’t been with her new boyfriend for long, we are sure she hopes it goes better than her last relationship. A little more than a year ago, headlines were flooded with news of Gary Wayt’s disappearance. Gary Wayt and Amber Portwood were in a relationship for several months and engaged for a few weeks when he disappeared from a North Carolina cabin they were sharing.
Portwood reported him missing before Maci Bookout traveled to North Carolina to help get her former co-star home safely. Wayt was later located safe by police. He had fled the vacation property of his own accord, later revealing that Portwood refused to give him his phone on the night he left. He has remained off the radar since, but rumors have swirled that he was engaged again just a few months later.

Amber Portwood is hoping her latest boyfriend is “the one,” but there have been several men who she believed could be “the one.” Portwood has actually been engaged three times. She once claimed the number was much higher.
She was first engaged to Gary Shirley, the father of her eldest child, Leah. While the duo were an on-again-off-again couple for years, they split for good when Leah was still young. Gary Shirley and Portwood never made it down the aisle, but he did eventually get married. Shirley married Kristina Shirley in 2015.
Portwood next linked up with Matt Baier. They went public with their relationship in 2014 and announced their plans to wed the following year. Despite not splitting until 2017, they never actually got married. Baier appeared on Teen Mom OG and Marriage Bootcamp with Portwood, though.
Portwood’s next engagement came many years later. After dating Gary Wayt for around six months in late 2023 and early 2024, MTV filmed Wayt’s proposal. They were engaged just weeks before they traveled to North Carolina for a family wedding. That is where Wayt disappeared. They ultimately called off the engagement.
Portwood was also in a long-term relationship with Andrew Glennon, the father of her second child. While the couple lived together and welcomed a son, they never officially announced an engagement. Glennon moved back to California with his son in 2022.
