Recent reports indicate Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their romance. The pair has spent nearly a decade together. While the couple apparently called it quits for good this time, they’ve faked us out before. Their recent breakup isn’t the first time they’ve gone their separate ways. Perry and Bloom split up in 2017 after a year of dating. They reconnected in 2018.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have broken up

After weeks of speculation about the state of their relationship, it has been confirmed that Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have ended their engagement. On June 24, TMZ reported Orlando Bloom was in Venice awaiting his chance to party as a single man at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding. While Bloom has been in Venice, Perry is nowhere to be found.

On June 26, People confirmed the end of Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s decade-long relationship. The duo, who have been engaged since 2019, share one child. They have not given an official reason for the split. Still, a source who spoke with People claims they’ve been struggling to connect for the last few months and are unlikely to overcome their problems this time. They first went public with their romance in 2016. They have both spoken about their love before.

It is not actually their first split

While an insider insists Bloom and Perry are done for good this time, the couple has previously split up only to rekindle their love. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer and her Pirates of the Caribbean star beau spent several months apart back in 2017. Perry actually addressed the first split back in September during an appearance on Call Her Daddy.

During her chat with host Alex Cooper, Perry said that when she met Bloom, he was very “clear with his intentions” after a period of celibacy. Perry said they split back in 2017 because she needed to “work on herself” and that he wasn’t interested in “playing games.” Based on Perry’s statement, the 2017 split may have been initiated by her. It’s unclear who opted to call off the romance this time around.
