‘There Is a Bug in Your Food!’ Commentator Blasts Meghan Markle for Unsanitary Cookies in ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2
The trailer for Season 2 of Meghan Markle‘s Netflix show With Love, Meghan was recently released, but not without some controversy. While the duchess’s fans usually praise her and critics will do the opposite, there’s been a major wave of criticism from both sides and it’s for something that isn’t focused on Prince Harry’s wife but rather someone fans would like her to disassociate from.
Meghan’s As Ever brand is also catching slack after an image went viral of a cookie platter the duchess made that had a worm in it. Yes, you read that correctly.
Here’s more on Meghan’s controversial guest and what an expert is saying about the buggy cookies.
People are upset about 1 person appearing on ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2
The season 2 trailer shows Chrissy Teigen appearing in an episode.
Her cameo has rubbed many people the wrong way because of the model’s past cyberbullying. Some fans have urged Netflix to pull the episode and Meghan to cut ties withTeigen, especially since the Suits alum is a part of initiatives against online bullying.
One person wrote: “The choice of Chrissy [Teigen] as a guest is outrageous! What’s next? Diddy zoom call from prison talking about the flower arrangements at his parties?” while another fumed, “Netflix should cancel the episode with Chrissy Teigen as she is the ultimate cyber bully. Netflix is now promoting a cyberbully.”
A third person asked, “I wonder how the Parents Network feels about her having Chrissy Tiegen on, who bullied a woman on Twitter and intimated she commit suicide?” And another wondered, “Who, at Netflix, said ‘Yes! Lets have Chrissy Tiegen on! That won’t be a problem at all!’ Bad form, Netflix. Bad form.”
A fifth commenter shared a personal tragedy and their disgust at seeing Teigen in the trailer, writing: “A little over a year ago, I lost my beautiful 15-year-old niece to unaliving herself. I’m sickened by the fact that Chrissy is doing this show. Especially when the host runs a parent’s network for parents who lost their kids to online bullying. This is absolutely sickening.”
Commentator roasts Meghan over unsanitary cookies
The image of Meghan’s shortbread cookies with an insect included, was shared on Instagram and got everyone talking. Many people were grossed out seeing the inchworm crawl in and out from under the sweet treats.
To Di For Daily podcast host and royal expert Kinsey Schofield discussed that on Sky News Australia with host Rita Panini.
“What she’s trying to do is highlight her As Ever shortbread mix here on social media, but this presentation backfired,” Schofield said before adding, “You do see this little worm, and critics are saying that it’s unsanitary, and I mean, it’s just turned into a PR fiasco.
“But I think the reason why people care about it is because her entire new brand is about elevating and how she looks for the little details, and it’s like ‘Girlfriend, you missed a bug on your tray.’ You’re trying to teach us about details, there is a bug in your food!”
