Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner Hit Pause on Their Romance Until Oscar Voting Ends March 5
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s romance is among the most interesting love affairs of Hollywood’s modern era. The pair, while young, appear incredibly committed to building a life together. Chalamet made sure to shout out Jenner while accepting awards, and she’s spoken lovingly of him. Still, the couple is not above giving their fans a little fright. After Jenner and Chalamet spent Valentine’s Day apart, rumors began to swirl that there was trouble in their romance. There apparently is no need to worry. Everything appears to be fine between them, but they’ve paused the public relationship to benefit Chalamet’s career. Here is what is going on.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet spend Valentine’s Day apart
After Kylie Jenner spent the awards season hanging with Timothée Chalamet, things fell quiet. Jenner even joked about spending Valentine’s Day with her mom. She spent the rest of the day sharing obligatory business posts, never once mentioning her longtime beau. The weird Valentine’s Day uploads sent fans into a spiral, with many worried that she and Timothée Chalamet had called it quits, despite their loved-up appearance just a month ago.
Chalamet added more fuel to the fire by not mentioning the special holiday at all. He showed up to an industry Q&A in Paris, but made no mention of his personal life. Chalamet also appeared alongside Elle Fanning, which further fueled speculation about the state of his romance with Kylie Jenner.
Are the duo broken up?
While there is still speculation that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have broken up, a more reasonable explanation for the pause in their public romance has emerged. Chalamet and Jenner are said to be “managing visibility” in the lead-up to Oscars voting.
According to GeoNews, Chalamet is in serious contention for more than one Academy Award for Marty Supreme. According to insiders, he is laser-focused on his public persona while voting remains open. Right now, he’s keeping his private life private while positioning himself professionally. Jenner is said to be hanging back so she and her famous family are not a distraction.
The outlet claims the couple employed a similar strategy last year, when Chalamet was, once again, nominated in the Best Actor category for his work on A Complete Unknown. Last year’s trophy went to Adrien Brody for The Brutalist. This is the 30-year-old’s third nomination in the category. He was first nominated in 2017 for Call Me By Your Name. He has yet to win in the category.
